Adobe Reader May Be A Threat Right Now..!!


The news were confirmed by ADOBE itself on 19th Feb that there are certain holes in the structure of its software which can be used by the hackers ..!!.The news later were confirmed by the security giats Symantec and McAffe.




"A critical vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 and earlier versions. This vulnerability would cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. There are reports that this issue is being exploited"


Adobe is expected to release its patch on 11th march-09 for the Adobe Reader 9 and earlier versions.

The only way till then to protect your PC is to disable the javascript.It can be done in the following way:

Edit -> Preferences -> javascript.

Now Ebay is in the radar of the phishing Master Minds.Recently it was found that many Ebay users were receiving emails informing they had not paid the money for the product they bought.

Follow to this report there is a link to ebay.com which in turn is nothing but the phishers web-page.User's in a hurry clicks on the link to know what was that product which he bought and didnt payed...Quickly the user writes in the username and password on the page opened and gets its account hacked..!!!

So from now onwards Beware from any mail asking for any username and password, Unless it is throughly authorised by you...

Change Any User's Password..!!

Change any user password

To view all of the user accounts:
1)Logged onto the computer, click on Start>Run>and type in CMD.

2)From the command prompt window, type in net users. This will show you every account that is made onto the computer whether it is hidden or not.

To change an account password:

1)Logged onto the computer to an account that has administrative rights, click on Start>Run>and type in CMD.

2) Type in net user then the name of the account then * and press enter. heres an example: net user administrator * or net user "Joe Smith" * . Put the name in quotes if it contains spaces.

3) From there it should ask for a new password. Type in your new password (type very carefully - the command window won't display what you type) and once more to confirm it. If you get the message that the command succeeded successfully you're all set!!
